A Complete Resin Chocking Service

We design the chocking installation including foundation bolt torque calculations, despatch to site experienced technicians complete with the equipment and materials required to align, dam up, mix and pour the resin, set up heating to cure the resin. Cure time is temperature related and can be as short as 18 hours, we confirm this with a portable hardness tester, once fully cured the foundation bolts can be tightened and the machine put back into service. The whole service can be completed in 48 hours or less in ideal circumstances.

– Corvettes, Frigates, Aircraft Carriers, Submarines
– Police and Coast Guard vessels
– Research Vessels
– Ice Breakers
– Yachts
– Merchant Vessels

Installation
Devcon® CELLOFLEX-M is easy to handle and requires NO turning of the shaft. Devcon® CELLOFLEX-M can be applied when the ship is in dry dock, the shaft is left installed in the vessel. Should repairs to the outer surface become necessary due to foreign object strikes this can easily be achieved during routine docking.

Features:

– Epoxy based material
– Protection against corrosion
– Flexible base layer resists the effects of shaft torsion and vibration
– Excellent adhesive strength
– 3-layer system protects against damage from underwater obstacles
– non-polluting
– No need to remove the shaft in drydock
– No need for shaft turning during install
– Easy repair should damage have occurred
